I was just watching the Wrestlemania anthology part 4 and at Wrestlemania 2000 they had the hardcore time limit match. Now many people got pins in that 15 minutes like Viscera, Tazz, Joey Abs and more. My question to you is on WWE.com did they get any mention of being hardcore champion or just Bob Holly, who won the match?
Everyone who scored a pin during that match won the Hardcore championship as the belt was being defended under the 24/7 Rule that a title change could take place anytime, anywhere. Hardcore Holly was the winner at the end of the match, but everyone who scored a pin during the match was indeed champion for that short reign.
When Shane McMahon takes over WWE, how do you think he will run the company? What, if any changes do you think he will make to the company?
I don't believe you'll ever see Shane McMahon take over the company as it's more likely Stephanie McMahon and HHH will one day succeed Vince McMahon. Shane appears to be more likely to handle the corporate end of things that Linda McMahon oversees. If Shane was going to end up in charge, I think you'd see a lot more things that would make the diehard wrestling fan happy, as all signs are that Shane is a diehard MMA fan and would likely look to bring some of that more realistic product into the wrestling universe.
Whatever happened to Paul Burchill anyway? I thought it seemed as if he was reasonably over with the crowd, especially with his Pirates of the
Caribbean-esque entrance and everything. I also thought that he could work a reasonably good match, especially a lot better than big, lumbering oafs such as the Great Khali anyway. Then all of a sudden he disappeared out of thin air. Now I'm sure WWE sent him to some development territory, but do you know why they did it? As I said, I thought he was fairly over with the
crowd, so why was he sent away when far more talentless wrestlers are still
on the active rosters?
I was told that someone in management wasn't a fan of the Pirates gimmick. Burchill was also dealing with a knee injury, so he needed time off to take care of some personal health issues. He's the top heel currently in Ohio Valley Wrestling, where he's completely been made over. If WWE creative decides to bring him back, he's ready to carry the ball. Whether it's ever given to him, well, we'll have to wait and see. He'd be a good fit for a fresh heel to be built on ECW or Raw, which could both use some new characters.
What are the chances of Undertaker winning the Royal Rumble but jumping to Raw to face John Cena for the title? Think of how huge this match would be. So many fans would be dismayed at the idea of Cena of all people ending Taker's undefeated streak. Your thoughts?
It's an interesting idea and one of the few right now that could be worthy of a Wrestlemania main event. I like the idea of a championship vs. the streak, particularly if they push the idea that there "must be a winner or loser". I don't know if moving Undertaker to Raw would be the perfect idea though.
Do you think that there's any possibility that Shannon Moore's never win a match style could be a shot at TNA. I mean, he came back to WWE with the same gimmick as he had in TNA, so maybe WWE didnt repackage him, and have him constantly losing every match hes in as a statement that TNA is inferior?
No, it's more that Moore was hired to give him a job as opposed to build him as an asset. He's seen as a good undercard hand and nothing more. TNA has nothing to do with it.
