PWINSIDER Q&A: SHAWN MICHAELS DVD, BRODY VS. HANSEN, MCMAHON AND MORE

Considering his last DVD ended with his comeback match, do you think there is any chance WWE releases a post-comeback HBK DVD? 

I absolutely think there will be another Shawn Michaels DVD set in the future, and they could easily devote a two-disc set just to his post-comeback run, or make a more expansive set overlooking his entire career.  As for matches that I would include, here's a top ten (in no particular order), just from his post-Summerslam 2002 career:
- November 17, 2002 - Elimination Chamber at Survivor Series
- December 15, 2002 - Three Match Series at Armageddon with Triple H
- March 30, 2003 - Wrestlemania match with Chris Jericho
- November 16, 2003 - Survivor Series match with Team Austin vs. Team Bischoff
- December 29, 2003 - Raw match with Triple H (ended in a double pin after over a half hour)
- March 14, 2004 - Wrestlemania match with Triple H and Chris Benoit
- June 13, 2004 - Bad Blood Hell In A Cell Match with Triple H.
- February 7, 2005 - Raw in Japan match with Ric Flair
- May 2, 2005 - Raw match with Shelton Benjamin as part of the "Gold Rush" tournament.
- April 2, 2006 - Wrestlemania match with Vince McMahon

Not to mention all of the singles matches with Kurt Angle from 2005.

Did Bruiser Brody and Stan Hansen ever wrestle each other?

To the best of my knowledge, Bruiser Brody and Stan Hansen, who were close friends outside the ring in addition to being frequent tag team partners, only faced off once, in a tag match. As part of the Real World Tag League tournament in All Japan Pro Wrestling, Stan Hansen & Terry Gordy battled Bruiser Brody & Jimmy Snuka on November 22, 1987.  The match ended in a double countout, with Brody and Hansen only having a brief physical exchange during the bout (which was by design).  All Japan was going to have a Brody vs. Hansen singles match, which would no doubt have drawn great money for the promotion, during the summer of 1988, but tragically, Brody was killed on July 16, 1988 in Puerto Rico, and the dream match never happened.

Do you think Vince McMahon will ever release a book on his life?

I honestly don't expect Vince McMahon to write an autobiography, but if he did, I'm sure it would be nothing by the truth .... at least, he would consider it to be nothing but the truth. You and I might see things differently.

Does WWE get a cut of the food sales or do they strictly make money from the gate and merchandise sales?

Usually, the building keeps the money from food and beverage sales, as it is part of the agreement between the building and WWE.  The building pays for the food orders and the salaries for the vendors, and thus, keeps the profits from it.

When did Hacksaw Jim Duggan win the King Of The Ring?  I never see his name in the results, but I specifically remember him being the King for a time.

Duggan never won the King Of The Ring tournament. What Hacksaw did was defeat King Haku in Des Moines, Iowa to become the "King Of Wrestling" in the WWF, which was more or less an "unofficial title" at the time.  Duggan, who already came to the ring with a 2x4 and an American flag, would now come out with a crown, a cape, and a mini-crown on his 2x4, as well as the flag. He eventually lost the distinction to Randy Savage, and that was the last of the "King" gimmicks in WWF, until Jerry Lawler showed up.
