I had a question about the new CM Punk DVD. All of the ads on the website say that it is available at Best Buy with a release date of 12/19 and a price of 9.99. I went to my local Best Buys on 12/19(In Minnesota) and non of them had a clue about the DVD. I have tried to look it up on the Best Buy website and cannot find it there either. I have tried a few other websites as well as the Big Vision website, but cant seem to find a way to buy the DVD. I am a fan of CM Punk's work and am really looking forward to seeing this DVD. Can you guys tell me where, or how to buy it?
I would think there may have been a slight delay in the DVD getting to the stores. I would keep checking every week or so.
Do you think the WWE dropped the ball with Goldberg? I myself was never a big fan of him, but when it was announced he was coming to the WWE there was quite a buzz at my work from people who hadn't watched wrestling since the Monday Night Wars. For whatever reason Goldberg seemed to connect with a lot of the "casual" fans that left wrestling. Do you think if WWE had utilized him better he could have been a big drawing main eventer again, and brought wrestling out of the funk it has been in?
I don't know that Goldberg could have brought wrestling out of the "funk" you mentioned, but WWE obviously didn't use Goldberg to the best of his ability. The key to the character was for him to be a non-stop, undefeatable monster. Once he put on a Goldust wig and did that comedy bit, that aura was ruined. They had a chance to bring the character back to greatness at the Elimination Chamber one Summerslam, but in the end, he fell to Triple H. By the time he won the WWE World title a month later from HHH, it felt like it was far too late. I remember being there live and the crowd didn't even have a huge reaction, a far cry from the night Goldberg defeated Hulk Hogan in Atlanta for the WCW World title.
What wrestlers do you feel should have gotten a chance to be world champion (major promotions, particularly WWF/E) that never got a chance to? or never had an opportunity to maybe due to an untimely death or serious injury? Personally, I think Owen Hart would have been a multi time world champ had he not passed away and Mr. Perfect was probably my favorite wrestler who never got the title put on him in his prime. Now bare in mind, I'm not talking about someone like Carlito for instance who I feel is being groomed to be the next Rock because he is just about to enter his prime and will more likely than not get a chance to in the future considering he doesn't screw it up.
The names that come to mind are Curt Hennig, Rick Rude, Owen Hart, and (before his car accident) Brian Pillman, all of whom could have been tremendous World champions. Rude did win the WCW International World title in the match where he broke his back but never defended it and it was stripped of him, so I don't count that.
JR recently said on his website"I dont think Shelton Benjamin is underutilized. If Shelton wants more action then he knows what he needs to do to get noticed and to live up to his potential. I love the kid but being underutilized…no way." What do you thibnk he means by that. He mentions something similar with Charlie Haas, who seem to have the tools as well.
I think Ross probably means that Shaelton Benjamin isn't being underutilized given the way he's progressed in aspects outside of his in-ring skills, which are awesome. From a charisma point of view and in terms of connecting with the crowd, he's not as polished, so I believe Ross means that until he's able to project himself better in those aspects, he'll likely remain where he is.
Hi, my question is about booking. How far in advance is WWE and/or TNA
booked in advance?
There are probably some rough ideas of where they would like to go in a few months down the line, but all the TV is written week to week for the most part. There's no set direction of "This is what is planned for the next year" without the ability to deviate from the plans.
