PWINSIDER Q&A: VINCE MCMAHON, RING CREW, JOHN CENA AND MORE

What does the people who set up and do all the grunt work do during a show? Do they get tickets to the show or does an employee get a certain number of tickets to live events? My friend says that the seats on either side of the entrance ramp was the employee section is that true? If not, where do they sit?

It should be pointed out that the referee crew actually does the majority of the "grunt work" at shows when it comes to setting up the ring, entranceway, etc. Local hands are used at some events, and I imagine some have gotten comp tickets in the past, but I've never heard of the area next to the entrance ramp as being some sort of "employee section".

In your opinion, is Vince McMahon a male chauvinist?

I don't know Vince McMahon personally, so I can't say if he is a chauvinist or not.  However, he certainly isn't going to be seen as a champion of women's rights, given that even his most positive female characters, like Trish Stratus, are still portrayed as, for lack of a better term, "sluts" at times.

When a wrestler arrives at the scheduled WWE event and finds out that their not needed, do they have the option to leave and go to the next city, or are they required to stay until the end of the show?

If a wrestler is scheduled to be at an event, even if they are not used that night, they are expected to stay until the end of the show, just in case there is a sudden change and they are needed on the show.

I am very confused when watching ECW. Help me out here, I see Bobby Lashley wrestle and I think "hmm, this guy is quick, agile, strong as hell and pretty good in the ring" but god help me I am bored as hell with the guy. My question is am I just really out of touch with something or is WWE just that bad at finding a way to make a guy that can really be good and make him a star? Also, what do you think of putting a mouth piece like Elijah Burke with Lashley so that Lashley's lacking mic skills aren't so evident?

I think Lashley has a lot of the tools needed to be a great performer, but he has been pushed to the top way too fast, and as a result, fans don't have an emotional attachment to him, and thus don't care as much about him.  Lashley hasn't had any great matches or classic feuds yet, so he is a top star, but with no history to back it up.  I do like the idea of putting a mouthpiece with him until he improves on the mic, be it Burke or anyone else.

This may sound like an odd question, but I'm going to ask anyway. Why doesn't John Cena dress like a normal wrestler? No wrestling boots. Doesn't wear trunks nor tights. No knee or shoulder pads. Everyone else does, why not him? If he were to dress like everyone else, do you think more fans would like him more?

Cena doesn't dress like a normal wrestler because his style of dress is part of his hip-hop themed gimmick.  Just like Undertaker, Cryme Tyme or Boogeyman, the ring attire is part of his character.  I honestly don't think fans would like him more if he wore trunks instead of shorts.
