PWINSIDER Q&A: UNDERTAKER IN THE HALL OF FAME, WRESTLING SOCIETY X AND MORE

My question concerns the Undertaker. His entire career has been based upon his dead man gimmick and for the most part he has stayed entirely in character both on and off television. My question is this: When Undertaker gets inducted into the WWE hall of fame is he going to be in or out of character in your opinion? Being in character would cheapen (not that it isn't already cheap) the Hall of Fame since they try to create a sense of legitimacy to the event but it would also eternally damage the character and legacy of the Undertaker. What could you see both parties doing?

If and when Undertaker goes into the Hall Of Fame, obviously it will be well after his in-ring career has ended.  I see him making a speech out of character, and I don't see it "eternally damaging" anything, since Undertaker has dropped the character on occasion in the past, most noticeably the "It's My Yard" video.

I have an idea. I know the chances of Heyman in TNA are not great at this point. However, If they don't want to bring him in on the creative end at this point maybe they could use him as an on air personality. They could save this whole debacle they have made of the Robert Roode thing by having Heyman show up unexpectedly, and say he undercut Traci. Roode could fire her and take Paul on as his new manager. Then the sky is the limit. What do you think?

As much as I have enjoyed Paul Heyman as a on-screen character, the idea of having him in your company and not using him in some sort of creative role would be as ridiculous as having Jim Cornette working for you and not having him in .... uh, never mind.   As for the Roode idea, I could see Paul Heyman making it work, and it certainly would do more for Roode than his current storyline is.

When will the wrestlers from TNA be given time off to celebrate Christmas with their families?

Considering TNA only has one show left this month, a TV taping on December 18th, then don't have another show until the January 14th PPV, I would say that TNA wrestlers have plenty of time to celebrate the holidays.

I understand that MTV will have a wrestling show sometime in January of next year. When exactly will this take place? Where? What is the name of the program? How long is it? Actual wrestling in a ring?

The show, which is called Wrestling Society X, will debut on January 30th at 10:30pm on MTV.  The shows will be 30 minutes long.  There will be matches and storylines, like any other wrestling show.  The only added element is live musical performances and the audience will probably look less like a typical wrestling show, and more like an MTV program (in other words, young people who probably want to be actors).

To your knowledge, what is the most unusual place a live wrestling was ever held? I saw pictures recently of a ladies match featuring Lexie Fyfe vs. Lorelei Lee and the ring was set up in the middle of a race track. Can you think of more examples?

I've seen wrestling matches where the ring was set up in train stations, on deserted islands, and I think Mike Johnson once attended a show in the basement of an apartment building.  I guess the basic rule is, if someone can fit a wrestling ring somewhere, they've tried to have a show there!
