In an article posted on WWE.com before she left the company, Trish stated that she was leaving because she wanted to have some "me" time. Now I read on another site that she's participating in a reality show for CBS. So, why then did she say she wanted "me" time? Why not say that she wanted to get into acting or try new things?
Stratus wanted time off from the company and hasn't given any indication she's even planning on an eventual return. I wouldn't judge her for her comments on the WWE site, since obviously she's going to paint things in the best political light for the company. Perhaps she sees new ventures as "me" time, since she's not working around the WWE clock and schedule, but her own.
I just finished watching the Spectacular Legacy of the AWA, Which I thought was really well done and very informative. My question though is about Ricky Steamboat's comments made about Verne Gagne going in to the WWE Hall of Fame. Steamboat seemed mad and upset that Verne went into the Hall of Fame. Did Steamboat have heat with Verne as far as I know; Steamboat never even worked for the AWA.
I don't know that it was heat that Steamboat had with Gagne as much as it was a commentary on Gagne being inducted when he wasn't a WWE name.
What is WWE doing with Ron Simmons? Are they bringing him back full time?
(which I think would be a big mistake with him approaching 50). Do you think
he'd be better managing someone? I think he would go great with someone who didn't have mic skills as Ron saying one word gets a big pop. My thoughts
are pairing him with someone like Shelton Benjamin or somebody from the now defunct Spirit Squad. What are your thoughts?
It's possible they could pair Simmons with someone down the line, but right now they are simply using him for the quick pop with the "Damn!" cameo. Simmons does a lot of public relations work for the company, so I wouldn't expect to see him sent on the road.
Hey I've heard about this new backstage interview chick for TNA and I got to
thinking what happened to Christy Hemme? Why don't they use her for that instead of hiring some rookie?
Christy Hemme is still with the company and appeared briefly during the Turning Point pre-game show over the weekend. As for why she isn't used instead of Leticia, I have no idea what led to that decision. Hemme is really underused by the company as she's great at her role, shows great camera presence, obviously has an interest in wrestling, and is beyond hot. I hope TNA finds a better role for her.
I was just wondering why wrestlers target muscles or bones that were once legitimate injuries such as Shawn Michaels back or Rey Mysterios knee. Surely that's very dangerous?
It's simply part of a logical storyline to go after the "weakened" extremity. It is indeed dangerous, but no more dangerous than anything else that's done physically in the ring. Wrestlers have to trust their entire physical being to their opponents, so this is no different.
