Do you think that it's basically RVD's fault that ECW was/is going into the toilet? It originally started out with him being the centerpiece of the brand, and then he had his bust, which forced WWE creative to go with "plan b" turning Heyman heel and putting the title on Big Show, which they're still trying to recover from. I think ECW would be a different product today if RVD didn't have to force their hand to go in an alternate direction.
The only thing I blame RVD for is being stupid and having the problem with the cops. Even at that point, Vince McMahon had made the decision to turn ECW into a WWE style product, so whether RVD had stayed the champ or not, it wouldn't really have mattered because the product would have changed the way that it did. Plus, if RVD hadn't lobbied Vince to bring back ECW for One Night Stand, we wouldn't even be talking about this.
I was looking at the ECW roster and saw Al Snow there. Do you think Al Snow still has a future with WWE as a wrestler, road agent, teacher (trainer) or is it over for him?
He was brought in at the beginning of ECW because he was an established name from the company's past. As WWE got away from having ECW be what it was the past, Snow wasn't needed to be an active wrestler and went back to training down at OVW. With that said, Snow was scheduled to be on last week's ECW PPV but couldn't appear due to a family situation. At this point, he's around 40 years old and is more valuable to WWE as a teacher than a wrestler and, for now at least, is secure in his spot.
How is the relationship between Edge and Matt Hardy right now since Matt is on Raw and is working with Edge again?
I haven't heard anything to say that it's anything other than professional at this point. Matt has said what he had to say in the past and has stopped talking about it now. Well, that is if you believe that the whole thing wasn't a work to begin with. Me? I can't say that I believe with 100% certainty that the whole thing wasn't just that however. It has always just seemed really convenient to me that three close friends could have "run an angle" themselves to help Matt get noticed at a time when he really needed it. ÂÂÂÂÂ
Do you think the WWE is worried or concerned about the amount of top name WWE Superstars that have been leaving at the company in the past few months (Kurt Angle, Big Show, Lita, Trish Stratus)?
I think it's safe to say that there is concern. WWE isn't exactly loaded with top talent right now and whenever they lose someone at or near the top of the roster, it hurts the company. They want to keep as many of their assets as they can. What I think they should be more concerned about is the fact that more and more people are walking away from the company's rigorous schedule to either try something different (like Lita, Stratus, Chris Jericho, etc.) or to go to much easier working conditions with TNA. It's grueling to work for WWE.
This question is regarding Trish's win in her retirement match at Unforgiven. Do you think that her winning the match, in Canada, with the Sharpshooter was almost a bit of an apology from McMahon for how he handled the Montreal Screwjob?ÂÂÂÂÂ
Not at all. I think it was their way of playing off of the fact that she was a star Canadian wrestler working in Canada. ÂÂÂÂÂ
