If you were given the chance to book TNA, what five stars would you push as the top guns in the company?
Off the top of my head, I would push Rhino, Christopher Daniels, Christian Cage, Samoa Joe and Ron Killings as my main eventers. I would mention Kurt Angle, but I would put him in the "Undertaker" role of being a top star, but not necessarily the main event.
Had Steve Williams not lost to Bart Gunn and gone on to win the Brawl For All (as was what the company expected/hoped for to my knowledge), what role would he have played after that? I assume a feud with Austin would've happened, but would WWF have given him the title at any point? Do you think he had potential as WWF champion then?
If Williams had won the Brawl For All tournament, which many in WWF were expecting him to, there is no doubt that at some point they were going to have an Austin-Williams program. I'm not sure if Williams would have been given a long run with the belt, but I would not have been surprised if he was given a short reign as champion.
Can you tell me who, on the current TNA and WWE Rosters ONLY, who has wrestled the most matches, and would you be able to provide a number? I am assuming Ric Flair is at the top, with maybe Sting in second, so if you could possibly put together a list of the top five, my love for you, this site, and the wrestling business in general, will blossom to uncharted proportions.
Your love won't get to blossom much, because there is no way I can provide a number like that for you. I can say that Ric Flair would have to be number one in WWE, and Jeff Jarrett would probably be number one in TNA. William Regal, Fit Finlay, Konnan, and Raven would probably be good picks as well.
Do you think it is proper for the WWE to punish a wrestler "on air" instead of behind the scenes? I think the real ones who get punished are the fans since they see their wrestler getting buried and hurting potential storylines, rather than maybe a fine or suspension. In a case like RVD, I can see a SMALL on air relation since it was an issue that caught the public eye, but cases like Haas accidentally bumping Lillian Garcia, Matt Hardy running from Taker to protect his character, to even Billy Kidman, I think those issues can be resolved backstage with a different punishment that doesn't reflect their on air character.
I don't know if it is proper, but it is the way things have been done in wrestling for a long time. It should be noted though, that WWE always puts business first, and if they have plans for a character, they will figure out a way to punish him (or her) while not hurting their plans for the future.
Even though TNA has the rights to the NWA World and Tag Team titles, does the NWA have a say in who the World champion is? Or is it all up to TNA?
It is all up to TNA. When they paid for the rights to the titles, they also got 100% say over who holds them.
