Since it looks like TNA is going after WWE with this whole VKM vs. VKM angle. Do you see WWE answering TNA's challenge by giving Paul Heyman complete creative control of ECW and letting him take them down or at least try?
Honestly, I doubt WWE will give TNA the satisfaction of responding to it. Until TNA's ratings and buyrates show them to be a viable threat to WWE, I would expect them to just ignore the VKM stuff. However, the idea of letting Paul Heyman have a shot at them is certainly fascinating, but I don't see him getting a chance.
Do you guys think that the Extreme Elimination Chamber would ever be part of the old ECW (Say Paul Heyman had thought of it before WWE)? Or is it just WWE's style with ECW's name and Paul Heyman really wouldn't go with an idea like that?
While ECW did occasionally have matches with convoluted rules (Ultimate Jeopardy bouts come to mind), I don't think they ever would have had an Elimination Chamber match, simply due to the size and expense of the cage contraption. ECW didn't exactly run a lot of buildings where you could hang tons of steel off the ceiling.
Am I missing something about Mercedes Martinez? She's hot, damn good in the ring, and has a lot of character. Why hasn't TNA or WWE picked her up? I know women wrestling is all about looks now, but she's hot AND can wrestle. What is your take on her and why do you think no one has tried to sign her?
She's one of several females in wrestling that, for whatever reason, aren't in WWE, which leaves me scratching my head. My guess is that Vince McMahon would rather hire professional models and try to teach them to wrestle than have beautiful wrestlers that might need some work in the modeling department. I all honesty, you have a better chance of being hired by WWE if you are a Hawaiian Tropic girl than if you are the next coming of Manami Toyota.
Does the WWE use different cameras to film ECW then they do for RAW? I watch both religiously and they LOOK so different. ECW has a more old school look to it like back in the 80's. I like that.
It isn't different camera, but a different style of filming. ECW is filmed with a different hard camera, so that angle looks unique, plus the arena is darkened and the wide shot from the top of the arena is rarely, if ever, used, so it does give a slightly different feel to things.
Since TNA uses a vastly smaller arena to tape in, do you think if WWE did shows in places the same size as the TNA arena that the crowd would be just as much a part of the show as they are in TNA?
I would say yes. In general, smaller arenas make it easier for a chant or reaction to spread quickly and make an impact on the show. 50 fans in a 1,000 seat building can get a chant going a lot quicker than 100 people in a 10,000 seat one.
