This is a Wrestlemania 23 related question. Do you think a Flair vs. Hogan match would draw big. If anybody could build up anticipation for a match, it's these two. Failing that, since both Hogan and Undertaker are in need of an opponent, why not have a Hogan-'Taker match? I think Hogan would do the job and it would be awesome for Taker if it was indeed his last match.
I don't think Flair vs. Hogan at this point in their career would be much of a draw. The match has been done and the bloom is off that rose. Ordinarily, I would say that I don't want to see Taker vs. Hogan since Taker likes to have rugged matches and Hogan just can't handle that any more. Also, Hogan doesn't lose and I would hate to see him (or anyone really for that matter) end Taker's Mania undefeated streak. But, there has been a rumor going around (take it for what it's worth) that Taker may wrestle Batista in a streak vs. title match. If that were to really happen, I would rather him face the Hulkster since, in my opinion, Batista isn't worthy of the match given his recent work.
I was wondering how RVD is handling Vince's decision to never put the belt on him again? I mean if his boss is saying he is never going to be put in the top slot again then what's the point of even working without the chance of elevation?! Do you see Rob going to TNA when his present deal is up?
First off, I don't know where the report of Vince saying he would never put the belt on Rob again came from and I can't confirm its veracity. With that said, I think the odds of RVD getting the WWE Title again are as close to nonexistent as you can get. But let's be real here, if ECW hadn't started up, he never would have gotten the run that he did anyway. So, he wrestles now for the same reason that he did in the past, to support his family. He isn't the only one who does so knowing he will never be the top guy, believe me. I could absolutely see him going to TNA when his contract expires. The schedule is great and it would allow Rob to work indies for top dollar and have more time at home. In fact, I think TNA would be a great fit for him.
Given that WWE's habit is to crap on the rich wrestling heritage that doesn't come from its own history, do you think that if say Ric Flair went to TNA, won the NWA World Title, lost it, then went back to WWE that they would recognize him as a 17 time World Heavyweight Champion? Or do you think that they would say that Flair had spent time away to "fight his demons"?ÂÂÂÂÂ
They definitely wouldn't say that he was fighting demons because that is silly! At this point in his career, nearing 58 years old, I don't know that he has a lot of years left to do the scenario that you mentioned. I also don't see TNA putting the title on him at this point and really, they shouldn't (and neither should WWE). If they did, and he came back to WWE, I tend to doubt that they would recognize the TNA win since they aren't real big on things that happen outside of their realm.
We all see WWE is trying to push Carlito into sort of a Rock-type of figure, but I just don't think he has what it takes to main event a PPV or ever carry the heavyweight belt. I don't mind if he feuds with some main event guys, but I don't see him ever being anything more than a top-tier middle card wrestler. What do you think?
I see a lot more in Carlito than you do. I see a lot of charisma in him and I think he definitely could be a top talent if they pushed him as one. He is already a better wrestler than John Cena and certainly Batista so I don't see why he can't be made a top guy.
When Rhyno trashed the ECW belt (reminded a bit of Medusa and the woman's belt), and cut an awesome promo against how Vince bastardized ECW, do you think Vince would let Rhyno comeback to WWE?
Hey, Vince has taken back people who have done a lot worse things than that to him in the past so I think if he felt he could make money with Rhyno, he would absolutely put business ahead of personal because he has a track record of doing so.
