Have you heard of any other matches for the 12/3 ECW PPV?
With all the focus going on today's Survivor Series PPV, there hasn't been any word about it. With the small ratings spike for the Hardy Boyz reunion, it's possible they will do an angle where they face a team on the ECW PPV. They can also shoot angles on the PPV, Smackdown, and Raw to help the PPV. The long-term viability of the ECW name as a separate brand will probably be decided once the December to Dismember buyrate comes in, so this will be an interesting one to follow.
Where is Tommy Dreamer?
Although you wouldn't know it from recent weeks of TV, he's still a member of the ECW roster and pens a regular journal on the ECW.com website.
My question has to do with the WWE developmental program. We all know that the wrestlers are signed to train and become better wrestlers when it comes to promos, etc., but how does this work? Are there classes and a curriculum? Homework? I know this sounds like a weird question but I am intrigued by how the process works.
When a performer is signed to a developmental deal, they are sent to one of the territories and paid X amount a week. They are expected to report regularly to the training center to work out in the gym and on bumps. In some cases, it will be one on one and in others it will be as part of a larger class running drills. WWE will send talents and advisors down to help finetune the talents and give them advice. The developmental system has actually given out homework of late. In the last month, talents were given an assignment to learn and write about 100 different names from the past of the business. I was told this was done to help give them an overall appreciation for the industry they work in. A recent decision to mix talent from the developmental territories was done for a similar reason, to give talents an idea of what it's like working loops and territories before they are called up for the main rosters.
What's the latest on Bryan Danielson's shoulder problems?
The latest is that his shoulder is in really rough shape and it's expected he'll be taking time off once he drops the ROH title. Until then, he's going to persevere and tought it up. A lot of the ROH wrestlers have been impressed with Danielson's willpower as he works through the injury.
I seem to remember a wrestler managed by Harvey Whippleman who would be a bully and take stuff out of kid's hands at ringside, like popcorn, balloons, etc. to make them cry. I looked all over Google and couldn't figure out who this may have been. Who was it?
I believe you are thinking about Big Bully Busick, portrayed by Nick Busick, who had a really, really short run as a heel on WWF television.
