If WWE wants to keep Umaga's streak isn't it obvious his team will win at Survivor Series, and would they want to keep his streak because I'm not really sure, but I think WWE ended Lashley's streak at Survivor Series.
WWE could easily get around the "streak" by having Umaga counted out or disqualified during a brawl with one of his opponents.
How stupid is the WWE to put two elimination 10 man bouts? Most Survivor Series have one and they are cool because they are special to the Survivor Series. To me this seems like putting 2 rumbles in the Royal Rumble, its an obvious attempt of the WWE to try and get as many as they can on Survivor Series but with 20 men involved in 2 bouts it will be really hard for fans to build any emotional attachment to these matches and won't it all get so respective especially for the fans in the arena who will lose their enthusiasm by the end of the first one. Your thought?
With all due respect, I couldn't disagree more. Originally, the Survivor Series was a whole card of elimination matches, and I love that WWE is including two of them on this year's event. The concept allows for undercard wrestlers to work with main eventers, and presents the opportunity for unique matchups that you normally wouldn't see. Also, having so many combatants usually means less restholds and more action, which keeps the fans interested and excited.
Won't CM Punk be more hurt in his 10 man bout more than gain anything because with DX in that mix, I highly doubt he will be the last person left in that ring, he could be the guy who gets to eliminate two wrestlers first or needs multiple finishers done to him before he gets pinned but do you think he will be that guy?
You're not the first CM Punk fan I've heard from who thinks he will get "screwed" just because he isn't the biggest star on his team. The bottom line is that after less than a year on WWE television, Punk is going to be in two high profile matches on back to back PPV events. Will he be the last person in the ring, I don't know, but it is ridiculous to think he will be buried just because DX is in the match, and thus will be seen as the "top guys".
Aloha from Hawaii. I am an elite and Xtra subscriber. I have been following CM Punk since his debut in ECW and really enjoy his matches thus far. I have read of his past in Ring of Honor and was curious are there any good Ring of Honor DVDs featuring CM Punk that you would recommend? How do you feel his push has been handled thus far in ECW? Also what do you think the future holds for CM Punk in the WWE?
In my opinion, Punk's best matches in Ring Of Honor are three bouts he had with Samoa Joe (ROH World Title Classic - 6/13/2004, ROH Joe vs. Punk II - 10/16/2004 and ROH All Star Extravaganza II - December 4, 2004). I also enjoyed Punk & Ace Steel vs. Dan Maff & BJ Whitmer from ROH Death Before Dishonor on July 24, 2004. All of those videos are available from ROHwrestling.com. So far, I think WWE has done a great job in pushing Punk. He is getting TV time and a chance to develop his character with the audience, but he also isn't being pushed too quickly (ala Orton or Lashley in the past). If WWE keeps letting him progress at this rate, I could see him as ECW Champion in 2007.
Why has Hulk Hogan let himself go? In his Hall of Fame segment on Hogan Knows Best and his return to the WWE in 2002, he does nothing but say how he's in better shape than half the young guys and he looked really good. He looks really bulky and fat now which must be causing more hassle for his already slow movement. Why has he let himself go and do you think if he trimmed down and got in shape again he would health wise be better off? He looked really good during the Hollywood Hogan days and was it me or was he a lot faster?
To answer your last question first, Hogan did look good during the Hollywood Hogan days and was faster because he had dropped a lot of weight at that time. As for his current condition, Hogan claims that his busy schedule (helping Brooke with her music career) has resulted in him not working out, and that combined with his admitted love of eating has resulted in him getting out of shape again. I'm sure if Hogan committed himself to exercising again, he could drop that excess weight and look a lot better.
