PWINSIDER Q&A: JAMES GANG QUITTING TNA, NEW BREED, ERIC BISCHOFF AND MORE

Do you see the WWE putting out a special Trish Stratus DVD sometime next year? How about a Molly Holly (Nora Greenwald) DVD?

Since WWE recently put out their list of DVD titles for 2007, it looks like there won't be any special Trish Stratus DVD.  It certainly wouldn't make sense to put it out over a year after her retirement, so it seems very unlikely at this point.  I highly doubt we'll see a Molly Holly DVD either.

Has there ever been a suggestion of TNA president Dixie Carter taking on a more visible and active role on TV, becoming a female version of Vince McMahon?

If there has been a suggestion, it hasn't reached the serious discussion stage.  Carter has begun taking on a more public profile with TNA, doing interviews and press for the company, but she hasn't become a TV character yet.  With all due respect, I hope TNA and Dixie keep it that way.

Is the James Gang quitting TNA a work or a shoot?

A work, but you're supposed to believe it is a shoot.  Of course, TNA being a pre-taped show, if someone were to really try and "shoot", it would be edited out.

I remember a tag team from the late 80's early 90's called "The New Breed". I think they were either in NWA or WCW. They seemed to be way ahead of their time and then all of a sudden they disappeared. Do you know what happened to or anything about this tag team?

You're thinking of Chris Champion and Sean Royal, the New Breed who wrestled in the NWA in the late 80's.  They claimed to be from the future (2002, to be exact).  Sean Royal was injured in a car accident, which I believe ended his career.  Champion continued to wrestle, but other than a short run (with a very different look) as Yoshi Kwan in WCW, did most of his work in Memphis and smaller companies.

Once the hype for his book is over, and his WWE obligations are all done, do you see Eric Bischoff going to TNA?

Nope.  If WWE makes Bischoff an offer worth his time, I could see him working there, but I don't see Bischoff working for TNA.  He's not a big fan of Vince Russo, and if Bischoff is going to be involved in wrestling outside the WWE, I think he'd sooner start his own project.  Either way, I think Bischoff's other business interests come first at this point in his life, and if not for his book, I don't think you'd even see him involved in wrestling now.
