PWINSIDER Q&A: ECW WRESTLERS IN WWE, DNA MATCH, WAR GAMES AND MORE

Can you list me all of the current WWE wrestlers who wrestled at least one match for ECW (Besides the obvious like RVD...)?

I assume you mean the old ECW, not the current group.  Using the WWE.com roster pages, here is the list: Jerry Lawler, Lance Cade, Lita, Steve Austin, Super Crazy, Umaga, Viscera, Chris Benoit, Joey Mercury, Rey Mysterio, Scotty 2 Hotty, Vito, Al Snow, Balls Mahoney, Christopher W. Anderson, Danny Doring, Jazz, Little Guido, Rob Van Dam, Sabu, Sandman, Stevie Richards, Tazz, Terry Funk, Tommy Dreamer and Tony Mamaluke.

What are the prospects of TNA putting together a "Wrestlemania" type event of their own? A three hour wrestling show comprised of the stars of TNA?

Actually, they just had their "Wrestlemania" event, Bound For Glory.  The company internally sees that as their biggest event of the year.  If you mean will TNA have an event with the "Wrestlemania hype", I think that is a few years off.  TNA needs to build their fanbase, and build a sense of history around the events, before they can be seen at that level.

I keep reading old wrestling PPV results and I keep seeing War Games. I have never seen War Games, so could you please explain the concept to me.

War Games was an event in which you had two rings, side by side, with a roofed steel cage covering both rings.  You then had two teams of five (or four) and each team would send in one wrestler for a five minute period.  A coin toss was then held, and the winning team got to send in another wrestler for two minutes, then the other team got to send in a wrestler.  The teams would alternate sending someone into the ring until all of the wrestlers were in the match. The match could not end until everyone entered, at which point, the first wrestler to "submit or surrender" would lose the match for his team.

What is a DNA match and why was it between David Flair and Buff "The Stuff" Bagwell?

I suppose I should just say a DNA match is a stupid idea and leave it at that.  But, since you asked....

This was the dumb angle where Stacy Keibler was pregnant, and David Flair, her boyfriend, was obsessed with knowing who the father was.  M.I. Smooth gave Flair a videotape that showed Stacy with Buff Bagwell, so Flair wanted Bagwell to take a blood test to see if he was the daddy or not.  Buff refused, leading to the "DNA match" at Halloween Havoc 2000, which really was just a First Blood Match, which Bagwell won by busting Flair open with a chair.  However, after the match, Lex Luger turned on Bagwell and busted him open, allowing Flair to get a blood sample.  The next night on Nitro, it was announced that Bagwell wasn't the father.  Of course, in the end of the angle, no one was the father.

Why and when did WCW start using Michael Buffer as a ring announcer? Why did the WWE never use him?

I believe WCW started using Michael Buffer in 1995 for their major events.  At the time, Buffer had become famous as an announcer for major boxing events, and WCW wanted that "big fight" feel for their main events.  As for why WWE never used him, I think it probably had to do with the fact that he charged a ridiculous amount of money to announce a match, and WWE has their own "legendary announcer" in Howard Finkel.
