With Corp. Kirchner being announced 'Dead' by WWE and WWE NOT retracting that statement, doesn't the Corporal have ground to sue or something? I would think there is some type of legal action that he could take with WWE isn't there? I'm not saying he should.... but there is grounds for it no?
Kirchner would probably have to prove that WWE was malicious in their story and that it caused him some form of damages. In this country, you can sue for pretty much anything so I am sure he could if he wanted to spend the money on a lawyer to try and get paid out of it. It really is extremely embarrassing that WWE never corrected that story. There is no legitimate or decent reason for them to not do so and it really paints their website in a poor light that they did what they did. Frankly, it's extremely callous on WWE's part.
Hogan and Savage didn't get on (some of the time). HBK and Bret didn't get on. Rock and HHH didn't get on. It seems tradition for rival "(next) big things" to not get on. So, how do Cena and Batista get on (when they aren't separated by brand schedules)?
They aren't running mates or anything but they have a respect for each other behind the scenes. Cena is a hard guy to not like given that he doesn't have a huge attitude/ego, works hard, carries himself well and does the best things that he can for the business. The people you mention didn't get along because they had huge egos that clashed and/or had issues when one of the two felt that the other was doing underhanded things behind the scenes. Batista has rubbed some of his co-workers the wrong way (such as Booker T) with an air of being better than the other guys in the past after his run in Evolution, but he isn't a guy who I have ever head be accused of manipulating things (or trying to) backstage.
On one of the recent Q&A's there was a question about wrestling books, and it made me wonder, how many wrestlers have actually written their own life story? I think the reason Mick Foley's two books were so good was because it was straight from his hand, and not done through a ghost writer that many use.
Foley is the only major star that I can think of who wrote (or typed) his entire book but that doesn't mean that the others weren't represented properly in theirs. In most cases, the wrestler will either work with the ghostwriter or will dictate his story in his own words and then have it typed up by the reporter.
Are you surprised TNA is rushing in to the Angle/Joe match so quickly instead of letting it simmer and building anticipation? Also, do you think that Kurt Angle's health issues played into the decision to start him off with Joe since , perhaps, there may be a fear that they do not know how long they will have use of him because of his neck so best to use him wisely while they can?
Yes, I am surprised. To me, this is a money feud and should play out slowly. I would love to see an old school build where they don't even get close to a match for at least six months. I think it would build to TNA's first real "must see" bout and draw more money that way. The only possible reason that makes sense to do it now is Angle's health but the rumor around TNA is that isn't why it's being done. Instead, from what I have heard, the feeling is that it's a match that they think can "help now" and with their move to prime time coming up, they want the program going now. I still think that they could start the feud now without doing the match too soon if it's booked properly. Hulk Hogan has recently said that Wrestlemania 23 will be his final match. I was thinking that having him go up against Ric Flair would be interesting to see (since they are probably the two greatest wrestlers of all time), what do you think of this match-up? And could it happen? First off, take everything that Hogan says about his career with "700 Andre The Giant" pounds of salt. Hogan is the king of all workers where public statements are concerned. Sometimes they are true, sometimes they have an ulterior motive and sometimes they are fiction. While I think Flair-Hogan would be a fitting "last match" for Hogan, I doubt he would share that opinion. Plus, with Flair's frequent TV appearances (and losses) for WWE, Hogan would probably feel that he's not a special opponent for him any more. Unfortunately, give the way Flair has been used and overdone lately, he's probably right. Hogan wanted Steve Austin at Mania but Austin will not lay down for him (and you know Hogan won't do the job either). So now, it appears it will be him vs. The Big Show, provided Show's back holds out. You can send us questions for the PWInsider.com Q&A by clicking here.
