PWINSIDER Q&A: ROUGEAU BROTHERS TAG TITLE WIN, BLEEDING INTERNALLY, HIDING UNDER THE RING AND MORE

Why wasn't Scott Hall ever given a reign as WCW Champion? It seems odd that he was good friends with guys like Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan but was never given the top spot at least once.

Honestly, I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that Hall, according to people close to him, was never a "mark for the belt".  He didn't play the political game the same way Nash and Hogan and others did.  He was happy just to have a top spot, and it didn't matter to him if he had the strap or not.

I was just wondering, considering if its a work of course, how do wrestlers bleed internally? Such as when Brock Lesnar was doing a bearhug to Hogan, and Hogan started to bleed through his mouth.

Unfortunately, there's not cool secret behind this one.  It was just a standard fake blood capsule.

Given how respected Undertaker is in the locker room, do you see him working for WWE backstage after his in-ring career is over, or would that conflict with how strongly he likes to protect his gimmick?

Honestly, I don't see Undertaker doing it, not so much because he wants to protect his gimmick, but because if he really wanted to get involved in the creative end of the company, he would have done so already.  I think when Undertaker finally decides to hang it up, he won't be looking to hang around.  Certainly from a financial perspective, he won't have to.

My question is when a wrestler comes out from under the ring, like Finaly's Little Bastard or Edge at ONS, how is that done? At some point during the show, is there some sort of distraction to secretly get the wrestler under the ring before the match?

It depends on the venue.  In some cases, a trap door is used.  Other times, a wrestler will be snuck under the ring during an entrance when the lights or out, or during a time when the attention of the crowd is diverted.  Still, sometimes it is a case of having the wrestler stay under the ring all night, until it is time for his entrance.

In a recent shoot interview Jacques mentions the Rougeaus won the WWF tag team titles from the Hart Foundation. I believe that this change occurred at the Montreal Forum on August 10, 1987. The change was never acknowledged on WWF TV and the Foundation had the belts returned to them. I realize that this kind of phantom title change is never acknowledged in official WWE history however, they usually are so on websites and in various books and publications. That said, it is very hard to find mention of the switch on any sites or in any hard copy format however, the Rockers similar win is always mentioned. Is there any reason why this change, be it official or not, seems to have been scrubbed from most sources?

The title change took place on August 10th at the Montreal Forum, but was never mentioned on television, as the belts were returned to the Hart Foundation because the Rougeaus had used Jimmy Hart's megaphone as a weapon to get the win.  In the case of the Rockers title change, the match was mentioned on local television, so that may be why it is included in various title histories.
