Do you see Umaga remaining undefeated until Samoa Joe's loses his first match?
Although there are absolute comparisons you can make between Umaga and Samoa Joe, I don't think the undefeated streak is one. A conspiracy theorist might believe that WWE is promoting a Samoan character with the idea that anyone who comes across Samoa Joe after catching Umaga would potentially see him as a knockoff of Umaga, but that's a matter of opinion.
Why would TNA resign Kevin Nash and waste the big bucks they could use on someone else? He hasn't had a good match since he entered TNA and has been injured more than not. Putting him in a short run in the X-Division was a waste of time. He's not really pushing the younger guys except maybe Alex Shelley's getting a rub by association.
According to sources within TNA, Nash will not be wrestling anytime in the near future, if at all, so I am under the impression he signed for less money. I would agree that Nash's involvement in the X-Division helped hurt it at a time when it needed to be at full strength with the loss of AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, and Samoa Joe, but it was a good help to Alex Shelley. If TNA can actually keep Nash away from making one of the TNA's signature deals look second rate, he's an asset in terms of familiarity, but at this point in his career, working inside the ring does nothing but hurt his own prestige and TNA's future.
Is Scott Steiner still with TNA? I'd like to see him vs Kurt Angle.
As we reported previously here on PWInsider.com, Steiner was in the middle of contract negotiations with the company. Steiner felt that he came in working for less then he would usually ask, hoping to show his worth, which in my opinion, he has done. I don't believe they have completed discussions one way or the other yet, so you may get your Steiner-Angle wish down the line if things get worked out.
With Raw family reunion coming this Monday, what do you think the probability is that Hogan will show up to start an angle for Survivor Series, and perhaps subsequently Wrestlemania? Or do you think that if Hogan was going to show up, they'd advertise it to drum up viewers?
As we mentioned last week on the PWInsider.com Elite section Hot News Hotline, World Wrestling Entertainment sent feelers out to both Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin to appear on tomorrow's Raw Family Reunion special. I haven't heard either agreed, and you would think if they had, WWE would be pushing the appearances heavily. There's always a chance something could be announced tonight during No Mercy, though.
Ok, I've read the reports, listened to the hotline segments, but it occurs to me that given the recent shows, WWE is hinting at a real storyline here, with Bischoff and his book, the references to NWO. Especially this week on RAW. Is this all for show or are they really considering a DX vs NWO feud? I don't know Scott Hall or Kevin Nash's contractual agreements, but is it even possible? Or is this just a big rib that isn't going anywhere? Seems like to me it would be a pay-per-view buy-rate bonanza if it actually occurs.
It was all designed as a way to promote Eric Bischoff's book, nothing more.
