With the "Loser Leaves Raw" match coming up, who do you think Smackdown would benefit more from, Kane or Umaga?
Looking at the Smackdown roster, there are more wrestlers that can be seen as "top babyfaces" (Batista, Lashley, Mysterio, Undertaker) than heels (Booker, Finlay, maybe Kennedy) so I would go with Umaga. Actually, I would go with Umaga in any case, since he is a much fresher face on the scene, and Kane's drawing power as a top star at this point in his career is questionable.
I recently read the match listings for the up and coming Roddy Piper DVD and I noticed that they have footage from Portland Wrestling. Did WWE buy off Don Owens too?
I wouldn't say "buy off". WWE purchased the footage, just like they have purchased many tape libraries so that they would have content for their DVD projects and WWE 24/7.
Why is it that in professional wrestling wrestlers can have a hardcore, TLC, or any match in general with weapons, and get hit with these weapons several times and provide tons of false finishes. But when these same wrestlers are in a normal match with rules and get hit once with a chair for example with either the ref's back turned or when the ref takes a bump, they more often than not lose. Can you answer this conundrum?
Because they swing the chair harder in those matches? In all seriousness, it is an inconsistency in matches at times. You'll have one table bump end a match in one case, but then guys get up from eight table bumps in the second. There's really no reasonable explanation, other than "the booker didn't want that to be the finish".
Do you think Sting will turn heel once he wins the belt at Bound for Glory?
The idea of a heel Sting is intriguing, but I just don't see it happening. At this point in his career, I think Sting is going to remain a babyface. Also, don't assume he is winning the belt at Bound For Glory. You can never tell what TNA will do when it comes to the title.
TNA's Bobby Roode is looking for a manager and we've seen a few legendary managers in the limo in the past weeks. Do you think it would be bad writing and a let down for him to end up with Scott D'Amore after all that hype? I would.
It certainly would seem bizarre for someone to turn down Bobby Heenan for Scott D'Amore. It also would go against TNA's own storylines, since Team Canada was disbanded, so D'Amore and Roode shouldn't be allowed to work together. So, if TNA were to go down that road, it would be ridiculous.
