PWINSIDER Q&A: THE ATOMIC NOOGIE, WWE STARS GOING TO TNA, WINNING A PIZZA AND MORE

The other day you mentioned a move called "The Atomic Noogie" in reference to unbelievable submissions. Please tell me that you being sarcastic with this and no one's ever used this as a finish.

Well, I don't think it was called the Atomic Noogie, but Sgt. Slaughter did use a finisher for part of his WWF heel run in the early 90's where he would grind his knuckle into the temple of an opponent's head.  It never beat any top stars, but it did finish off some of the enhancement talent on WWF television.

I was wondering why most, if not all, the entrances to the WCW matches that go on WWE DVD's are cut out? It's not like ECW where they were using name bands that they would have to pay copyrights to. Also, why on earth would WWE include matched with Jesse Ventura commentating and then remove his voice. Why not just choose another match? It sound so bad when Gorilla Monsoon or Vince McMahon is commentating alone.

Even though the theme music on most WCW matches isn't from known artists, the songs are still copyrighted and WWE would rather not have to pay royalties to use them, so they don't.  As for the Venture situation, the simple truth is that in many cases, important matches were called by Venture, so rather than ignore those important matches, WWE includes them and blanks out Ventura's commentary so they don't have to pay him royalties.  Quite simply put, WWE isn't interested in sharing the profits of their DVD sales by having to pay out royalties to people that play a relatively insignificant role on the DVD.

With Kurt Angle signing with TNA, do you think other top wrestlers in WWE may consider heading to TNA, once their contracts are up?

Obviously, TNA has become an option for WWE stars.  TNA has a much lighter schedule, which can be very appealing to a wrestler, and if TNA is willing to make it financially worth their while, then a WWE star would be foolish not to consider TNA once their deal is up.  It is really all up to the individual and what they want at this point in their career.

My friend and I need you to clear up an argument we've been having, has their ever been a wrestler by the name of "Yeti"( or something down that line) in WCW? from what I remember, he was a big guy, wrapped in bandages when he first made his debut and was in the World War 3 battle royal in 1996, did this guy ever exist or am I as crazy as my friend says I am?

The Yeti did exist, and was played by Ron Reis.

I know you guys must be sick these questions but...Can you please settle an argument for me? My friend insists that Shane and Stephanie McMahon are adopted and I believe he is as far off as WWE creative. Please end this conflict as a pizza rides on this one.

Tell your friend to order the pizza.  Shane and Stephanie McMahon are not adopted, and are indeed the biological children of Linda and Vince McMahon.
