PWINSIDER Q&A: MAXX PAYNE'S MOVIE, BOOGEYMAN IN TNA, HULK HOGAN VS. JOHN CENA AT WRESTLEMANIA AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2006-10-01 11:15:00

Do you think TNA would have any interest in The Boogeyman?

Never say never, but considering he was injured more than he wrestled, he's over 40, and can't use the gimmick, likely not.

Love the site, have been a wrestling fan for many years. Here is my problem. I sent an e-mail to WWE for a main event storyline idea for Wrestlemania 23, of course WWE says they do not read such e-mails (which to me is a stupid idea for them not to). My question is I read where Hulk Hogan has said he would like to wrestle at Mania this next year and it would be his "retirement" match. So I thought about it, and to me I think it would be great to have Hogan Vs. Cena for the WWE title. Hogan would win, and a 16 man tournament would be started for a new champ. What do you guys think of this as a main event?

Hulk Hogan vs. John Cena is a unique idea on paper, but there's no upside for it for WWE or Cena. The crowd will turn on Cena, Hogan will get all the focus on the biggest show of the year, and then WWE would be left having to rebuild Cena. I don't see it as a smart option.

Whatever happened to that movie that Maxx Payne was supposed to release when he taped stuff while on road with the WWF?

My best guess is that a legal letter shot that down.

Buck recently answered a question relating to the Smackdown show held 2 days after the September 11th attacks saying it was a special night despite Stephanie's "somewhat ridiculous comments". What did Stephanie say exactly?

She compared the terrorist attacks to the United States government prosecuting her father for steroid distribution. Seriously. That said, everyone was in a state of shock at the time, so that has to be taken into account when you remember it.

Why is it that on the Wrestlemania anthology set the nWo theme is dubbed over but on WWE 24/7 online there are two matches with the theme being played why is this?

It could be that WWE doesn't have the distribution rights to the theme for DVD, so they would have had to pay money towards the rightsholders, so it was cheaper to eliminate it.
