PWINSIDERXTRA.COM OPENS FOR BUSINESS!
When we first started PWInsider.com two years ago on Friday, we had a vision for what we wanted the site to be. We wanted it to be a full time "Wrestling Newspaper", with all of the features that you would find in the sports page of your favorite paper. What we found out along the way is that we actually have too much content to post on the site. Yesterday alone, we had over 70 posts on the two sites. Most days of the week, we have at least 20 new items (and sometimes more than that), which often ends up pushing more important stories down the page. It also leaves leaves little room for other things that we wanted to add to the site.
So, we decided that the best thing to do was to create a new site to handle some of the overflow from PWInsider, and allow us to cover some different areas of the business that we just didn't have space for here.
The major differences for PWInsider.com readers will be that we are moving the Daily Lariat and Buck's PPV Elevator to the new site. If you read the free site, those columns will move. If you subscribe to the Elite site, you will notice no changes.
On PWInsiderXtra.com, you will also notice Mike Johnson's new column Total TNA Daily, where he recaps all the news and happenings for TNA. For those of you who like to visit the site once a day, Xtra will be the perfect place for you to get all your WWE and TNA news and coverage in a quick and easy fashion.
We don't want to rest on our laurels, so we have some new ideas as well for the new site, such as expanded independent coverage, reader feedback, more columns, DVD and Book Review archives, non-wrestling related articles and more. We look forward to giving everyone a voice with PWInsiderXtra.com, so feel free to send in your feedback for the major news stories and events of the week!
When we had PWInsiderXtra.com made, I didn't even consider making an Elite section there but in talking to some of our Elite members, who said they would be interested in getting an ad-free subscription there after we mentioned Xtra on our Elite message board, we also decided to have an Elite section made on the new site as well, for those of you who like ad free browsing. We have set up a combination monthly subscription where $5.95 gets you access to both sites, $49.95 gets you yearly access to both sites and $84.95 gets you a two year subscription to both sites. You can also buy a la carte subscriptions for the new site for $10 dollars per year and $15 for two years if you are interested. The information on subscribing can be found at the link below.

The best way to get an idea of what we will be doing there is to see it! We have been running the new site for the last week as if we were already open, so there is tons of content, from independent coverage to reader feedback of Raw to our fine collection of columnists and more, as well as today's Daily Lariat for those of you who want to catch up on the day's important WWE news.
