Back to the panel, which now consists of Renee, Lawler, Otunga, and Pete Rosenberg, who is wearing a pretty sleek jacket that's a tribute to Bobby Heenan. Lawler thinks Heenan wouldhate to see someone like Rosenbergy in it.
Backstage to Roman Reigns, who says there's no reason to prepare because he was born for nights like tonight. He's going to whoop everyone's ass and walk out of Brooklyn with the Universal Title.
Elias (another wrestler unlucky enough to have one of his names deleted) performs a couple of songs running down New York and the denizens of Brooklyn in particular.
Carmella and James Ellsworth come join the panel and talk about how nobody is talking about Natalya and Naomi, they're talking about Ms Money In The Bank. The panel gets their quick thoughts on Big Cass vs Big Show, Naomi vs Natalya, and Alexa Bliss vs Sasha Banks.
We turn our attention to Jinder Mahal vs Shinsuke Nakamura, and Jinder cuts a backstage promo calling everyone a bunch of xenophobes for cheering Corbin, and he's going to do it again tonight for the 1.3 billion people in India.
Down to the Smackdown announce team of Tom Philips, JBL, and Byron Saxton, who will call our next match...
Smackdown Tag Team Title Match: The New Day vs Jimmy & Jey Uso
Xavier starts us off with either Jimmy or Jey. Uso with a shoulderblock, but Xavier with some impressive speed to outmaneuver him and hit a roaring forearm for 2. Xavier maintains control until eating an open palmstrike and a big right hand to the grill as we go to commercial.
We're back, and Xavier is still in the thick of peril. He stays there for several moments until dropping Jey with a faceplant and tagging in Big E, who destroys Jey with a series of power moves. STJoe gets 2, then Xavier picks Big E up on his shoulders and splashes him onto Jey for 2. Jimmy comes in and the Usos hit a double spinebuster on Big E for 2. Xavier hits Jimmy with a lungblower for 2, then he goes toe to toe with Jimmy and clotheslines both Usos to the floor. Jey comes out of nowhere with a running clothesline off the barricade to Xavier on the floor, then superkicks Big E when he tries a dive through the ropes. Back into the ring where the Usos hit stereo splashes to both Big E and Xavier, but Xavier kicks out at 2. Xavier gets Jey in the Koji Clutch, Jey rolls him to his back for 2, Xavier hits a Shining Wizard for 2. Xavier hits Jimmy with a tornado DDT to the floor as Big E plants Jimmy for 2. Xavier nearly gets killed on the floor with the Alley-Us, then Big E spears Jimmy through the ropes to the floor. Back in the ring where Big E goes for the Big Ending, but the Usos superkick the hell out of him and hit the Double Us for the win.
Winners and NEW Smackdown Tag Team Champions: Jimmy & Jey Uso
This match was unbelieveable, too much happening toward the end for me to capture all of. Go back and watch this when you get a moment, my recap doesn't do it justice!
Back to the panel, who run down all the rest of the matches that didn't warrant real discussion before, and then we meet the new WWE Col. Sanders...Shawn Michaels!
We head backstage where Paul Heyman says we don't see many Brock Lesnar title defenses, and his appearances are special occasions, so tonight it'll be a 3-for-1. However it shakes out tonight, his winner, and still Universal Champion...oh wait, Braun Strowman is here and snatches the mic out of Heyman's hand to tell him he talks too much.
