WWE RAW REPORT: SAMOA JOE SENDS A MESSAGE TO THE UNIVERSAL CHAMPION THROUGH PAUL HEYMAN, A CELEBRATION FOR MIZ, THE ATTACK IS ON THE OTHER END OF THE TAG TEAM, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2017-06-05 23:04:00

We are back and Dean Ambrose walks in the back and he says he is looking for the Miz' locker room and he wants to know if Kurt Angle knows where he is.

Kurt says Ambrose will have his rematch, but it will not be tonight.  Kurt says that Miz will have his celebration and he does not want to get Maryse angry since she planned this.

Kurt tells Dean to leave the building and take the night off.

Dean leaves.

Samoa Joe makes his way to the ring and he has something to say.

Joe says he is going to make this simple.  The man standing here does not fear Brock Lesnar.  He is incapable of fearing him because he is far too envious of Brock Lesnar.  Joe says he wants everything Brock has and he wants to take it from him.  Joe says he wants Brock's schedule where he is not forced to come out week after week to the ungrateful masses.  He can come and leave as he pleases.  He wants Brock's ability to instill fear into men at his behest.  Joe says he wants Paul Heyman to be his advocate, negotiate his contracts, and run his errands.

Joe says most importantly and more than anything in the world, Joe says he wants Brock Lesnar's Universal Championship.  Live on pay per view at Great Balls of Fire, he will be standing in this ring, staring him in the eye, and he will take that Universal Championship from Brock Lesnar.

Paul Heyman interrupts and he introduces himself.  Paul apologizes for the interruption and he says here he is.  The number one contender for the Universal Title and rightfully so.  The destroyer and badass who got through four others to earn a title shot against Brock Lesnar.   The man who left wreckage in every single place he has been.  The number one contender Samoa Joe.

Paul says he understands that Joe does not fear Brock Lesnar.  Paul says that Brock does not fear Samoa Joe either.   Paul says that what bothers him about Joe is that Joe likes that Brock does not fear him.  Paul says he worries for a living.  He sees his client's opponents and gets worried, as a Jew.  Brock assuages all of his concerns.  Paul says it does not matter the legend or the physical ability or athleticism of the opponent.  You put them in the ring and Brock assuages all of his concerns.

Paul says that two weeks ago he said he wanted to see Brock Lesnar versus Finn Balor.  It is the best case scenario.  It is a Rocky story.  It is a license to print money.  Paul says that Joe is the worst case scenario.  Joe does not give a damn and he wants to fight Brock and go to war with him.  Even if Brock can assuage all of his concerns, Brock will not be leaving the ring the same way he entered.  Paul says that Joe will take a piece of Brock Lesnar with him.

Paul says it is his job to make sure that Brock Lesnar is your worst case scenario.  If you want Brock Lesnar, you got Brock Lesnar.

Paul holds out his hand and Joe shakes it.  Paul starts to leave the ring and Joe keeps him from exiting.

Joe says that was very disappointing to him and he wants to tell Paul face to face and man to man.  Joe tells Paul that he is going to wrap his arm around Paul's throat and your vision is going to get hazy.  Then, he wants Paul to take this message to Brock Lesnar that this is for him.  Joe says he wants Paul to explain to Brock in excruciating detail, as only Paul can, what is in store for Brock.

Joe puts Paul in the Kokina Clutch.

Joe goes to the back while officials check on Heyman in the ring.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we see what Samoa Joe said to Paul Heyman before choking him out.

Samoa Joe is asked by Kurt Angle what is wrong with him.

Kurt says he will take out anyone who gets in the way of him and Brock Lesnar.  Joe asks Kurt if he is in his way.

Seth Rollins says Kurt is not, but he is.  Rollins asks Joe if he forgot about trying to end his career.  You are the number one contender and you beat Finn Balor.  Seth says he is not Finn Balor, Roman Reigns, or Bray Wyatt.  He has beaten Joe before and he will do it again.

Kurt likes the idea and he makes the match.

Joe tells Seth 'mistakes we make'

Match Number Two:  Cesaro and Sheamus versus Heath Slater and Rhyno in a Non Title Match

Cesaro and Sheamus say they do not set the bar . . . they are the bar.

TJ Perkins walks in the back and he sees Neville.  Perkins says it is time they talk about their deal about him getting his title match.

Neville tells Perkins to be patient but Perkins says he has been patient.  For two months he has been hobbling Austin Aries.  Perkins wants Neville to hold up his end.

Neville says Perkins is right.  Neville says he is a man of his word.  If you take care of business against Mustafa Ali, he will think about it.

We go to commercial.

Winner:  TJ Perkins

After the match, Neville comes out and he has something to say.  Neville tells Perkins that he does not know exactly how to break this to him and while he talked to Kurt Angle, he might be the King, but he is not a miracle worker.  He has some unfortunate news.

Neville attacks Perkins from behind and he asks Perkins if he thinks he is on his level.  Neville tells Perkins he has his shot tomorrow night on 205 Live.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a Shattered Dreams video.  Goldust says R Truth thinks he can sit in his director's chair.  Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn.  They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.  Consider him smitten.  For R Truth, this is just a game.  A juggling act for a clown.  Goldust says he sees the bigger motion picture.  The biggest names in Hollywood and the brightest stars in the sky will be glittered in gold.  It will be so beautiful.  The Golden Age is back.

Sasha Banks is in the locker room with Dana Brooke and Mickie James and Alexa Bliss enters.

They start to leave but Alexa wants to chat.  She knows they don't like her but shouldn't you be insulted that Nia has jumped to the front of the line to get a title match.  She asks Dana why does Nia deserve a title match before her.  She says that Mickie is a trailblazer.  Alexa says we have a Nia Jax problem and if they don't stand united, it will destroy the women's division.

Dana says that Alexa has the Nia problem, not them.  Mickie says they will be at ringside watching.

Kurt Angle stops by the announce table and he needs to talk to Corey Graves.

Corey is saved from talking about what Kurt wanted when Kalisto comes out for his match.

We are back and Kurt Angle is asked about his conversation with Corey Graves and he says it is a private matter.  Kurt goes outside the arena and we see Dean Ambrose enter.

Winner:  Kalisto

Miz and Maryse walk in the back and they see Colin Cassady down in the back.  An official comes by to check on the unconscious Cassady by asking how he is.

Enzo comes to check on Colin and he wants to know who did this.  Enzo asks Colin what happened.  Colin gives Enzo a chain and we go to commercial.
