TNA DEBUTS IN PUERTO RICO THIS SUNDAY, NO SURRENDER PPV, NEW SLAMMIVERSARY MATCH AND MORE TNA NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2007-05-31 12:58:00

Bob Backlund vs. Alex Shelley has been added to the Slammiversary PPV. Shelley and Sabin's team has been given the "Murder City Machine Guns" team name.

TNA debuts this Sunday 6/3 in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico with just about every top name in the company advertised, including Kurt Angle, Christian Cage, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, and Abyss. It will be the company's debut there.

Reports that Johnny Devine was "looking to get fired" with a promo he cut at the Bad News Allen Tribute show last weekend in Canada are erroneous. Devine also did not rip on his "cartoon character" persona in TNA during the show. Usually I wouldn't even mention such a thing, but we were contacted by someone associated with TNA upset because they were under the belief the story originated here.

The Tennessean covered today's TNA press conference with an article this morning.

TNA's No Surrender 2006 PPV will take place on 9/9 in Orlando, Florida at Universal Studios Florida.

Kurt Angle, Jay Lethal, Gail Kim and Christy Hemme are all appearing at the Wrestling Reunion V convention this Saturday in Carteret, NJ. For more information, visit www.wrestlingreunion.com.

One-time TNA personality Jonny Fairplay will be appearing in CMT's "Celebrity Bullriding" reality series alongside names like Vanilla Ice and UFC fighter Josh Haynes and former American Gladiator "Nitro."
