RECAP OF CHRIS JERICHO'S XM RADIO SHOW

By Jeff Sheridan on 2006-11-18 06:00:00
1. Starts the show at 8PM with 2 Quiet Riot songs: "Sign Of The Times" & "Party All Night".

2. Y2J says it's Sunday night & welcome to The Rock Of Jericho: http://tinyurl.com/rssxe , says he's Chris Jericho & says he's your party host who's telling you to party all night. He says "OHHHH" & that's the montra of his show for tonight & just party all night with Kevin Dubrow & Quiet Riot, that's from the "Condition Critical" 2nd record for Quiet Riot that came out in '85, which he says was the follow up to "Metal Health". He says that was the 1st heavy metal record to ever chart at #1 on the Billboard charts, says "Condition Critical" was the 1st heavy metal record to chart at #72 on the charts. He then says he don't know exactly as to what it charted, says it wasn't as big of a hit for them as the 1st 1 was but it had more of a gel & the same type of rockus, party vibe that's just like his show. He says this is XM 41 Da Boneyard: http://tinyurl.com/6hmt6 , again says he's Chris Jericho, again says it's Sunday night & again says welcome to his show. He says whether you're listening at home in your car, room, padded chamber or on the web on your XM units, MyFi's or whatever: http://tinyurl.com/yfzazz . He says maybe you've got a couple of tin cans with a piece of string that's connecting them & that's letting you listen to the show, says he don't know & don't care but just wants you to rock. He says the rockesity's off the charts tonight & you can feel it, says he was inspired to play Quiet Riot this week after seeing them in the LAX Airport that was boarding the same flight to Tampa that he himself was boarding. He says they were looking quite young, says "sarcasm alert" & says it's still cool that you see these guys when you were a kid. He says it's only 1/2 the band with Kevin Dubrow & Frankie Banali on the side that you just heard, says they had Chuck Wright who joined after Rudy Sarzo left after their 3rd record. He says the guitar playing of Alex Grossi who played in Dokken & says he's probably the most mediocre, non-descripted, non-recognizable rock & roller guitarist in the biz. He says Dubrow's got the best wig he's ever seen, says you know that he's talked about this before when in '83, Kevin had the Art Garfunkel receding hairline afro. He says 3 years later Kevin had huge Paul Stanley hair & says now Kevin's got a Jennifer Anniston type look, where it's all "flat ironed" & straight & says it's quite cute & it rocks the world. He says they're still playing gigs, says they were going to Tampa to play gigs & says God bless them. He says if he himself had a night off he's see Quiet Riot, then says he did see them in '92 at a place called "Desperado's" in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He says he waited for Dubrow to come out, went up to him & asked for his autograph & says Kevin acted like he was still playing in MSG by saying "Sure dude, no problem, let's take a picture, but you gotta be quick though, I gotta go". He says maybe there was 100 people in the joint, says it was a lineup with Kevin & Carlos Cavazo, but no Banali & says the lineup went up & down like the verberbulate toilet seat. He says it's like his moods because he's a "scitzo" & says "scitzo" is a good power metal song title. He says he got a stack of power metal records in the mail, says he got an email awhile back from a guy that works for the band Hammerfall & asked Y2J to do a voiceover on the video for the song "Naturally High". He says he won't play the song & it's not what he's talking about & says in the package of CD's it had "The Best of Primal Fear". He says Primal Fear's from Germany & he may have their 1st record, says he don't know it & says they've released only 5 records & that's all they have in their "Greatest Hits". He says the term "Greatest Hits" is thrown around, mentions "Elton John's Greatest Hits" & says that's a greatest hits package you can get behind & says no pun intended. He says Primal Fear's not as much, says it's got vocalist Ralf Scheepers who was in Gamma Ray, then left to form Primal Fear with Matt Sinner who's in the German power metal band Sinner & yells "SINNER". He says they put together the band [Primal Fear], says if you used to see Gamma Ray years ago when Ralf 1st joined he had kind of an afro, that tied back in a ponytail that ended up at the back of his skull. He says Ralf shaved his head, grew a goatee & got huge, says he ain't talking huge like Jiminy Glick but like muscle & says it's like "Chris Jericho huge". He says Ralf's just massive who now looks like Y2J's old compadre Val Venis: http://snipurl.com/124ly . He says he asked Sinner if he noticed that Ralf looks like Val Venis, says Sinner's response was yes & both used to play Venis' ring song "Hello Ladies" [which's on "WWF:The Music Vol.3": http://snipurl.com/121th ] before Ralf made his big entrance on the stage. He says on lead vocals it's either Ralf Scheepers or Val Venis, it's Primal Fear on a Sunday night.

3. Plays Primal Fear's "Final Embrace" & Gamma Ray's "Land Of The Free".

4. Y2J says that was vocalist Kai Hanson on Gamma Ray's "Land Of The Free", says it's the 1st after Ralf left to form Primal Fear that he played earlier. He says if someone sounded familiar in the chorus it was Michael Kiske who's ex-Helloween, says he didn't anything after leaving Helloween in '93 & should up in Gamma Ray record in '95 & says it was like a breath of fresh air, by hearing the voice of metal back once again on his turntable. He says a turntable is very obscure, asks the kids to ask their parents as to what that is [NOTE FROM JEFF:For those that care, a turntable's a vinyl record player]. He also tells the kids to ask their parents as to how awesome Kiss was back in the day, says "segway alert, SQUEE-AHH, SQUEE-AHH" & how awesome Paul Stanley is as an entertainer & vocalist. He says if you've never seen Paul or Kiss then run but don't walk to a local concert hall & check out Paul on the "Live To Win" tour & says it's amazing. He says he hopes it will be because he'll see it this Tuesday [11/14] at LA's House Of Blues: http://tinyurl.com/oua9e , says he'll be there so come to him & say hello & buy him a drink, a Paul Stanley tour shirt or whatever you'd wanna do & says who's he to turn it down. He says whether or not you took the raisins just come to him, talk & have a laugh. He says the thing that's great about Paul doing a solo tour's that he's got so many great songs that has never been played live, says he's doing "Magic Touch", "Wouldn't You Like To Know Me", "Hide Your Heart" & other songs on the tour that has been done live for years & haven't been played live. He feels Paul should start doing this on a regular basis when Kiss' not doing anything, says Kiss' pretty much locked into playing the same setlist every night & says there's no doubt about it. He says they have the hits that they have to play & can't go busting out with an obscure "Love Theme From Kiss" or "King Of Hearts". He says Paul's got a huge list of great back catalog songs, tells fans to go out & see Paul & says he himself would see Paul nightly even if he sang the Yellow Pages, because he's down like that with Paul. He says he saw a segment from VH1 Classics' called "Hanging With" that's hosted by Eddie Trunk & featured Paul & Gene Simmons, says it was probably the best thing that he's seen Gene do in years & says he actually started liking Gene again. He says Gene's such a corporate shell that you forget that the guy really does love playing music, says he always did & says that's why he got involved with Kiss in the 1st place. He says it was cool to see Gene talk about the early days when they made $75 weekly, then tour wherever they could, believed so much in themselves, didn't have any money & weren't really all that famous & said they were just happy being Kiss. He says the reason why anyone straps on a guitar in the 1st place is that you love playing music, says that's why he joined a band when he was 12 at the all mighty Semitar. He asks if you've heard of them & go on www.youtube.com & you'll see nothing about them, says again that this Tuesday Paul will be at LA's House Of Blues, says he'll be there & hopes you'll be there. He says this song's from the "Lick It Up" record will be played, says it's a spoiler alert & says you can look forward to it. He asks as to which song is it & again says it's from the "Lick It Up" record, asks if it's "Young & Wasted" & says no, "Fits Like A Glove" & makes a buzzing noise, "Dance All Over Your Face" & says absolutely not. He says it's "A Million To 1" with Paul & Kiss, right here on XM 41 Da Boneyard.

5. Plays Kiss' "A Million To 1" & Blue Murder's "Riot".

6. Y2J says Blue Murder's "Riot" is for a fan named Dan J. in Anaheim, California & says it had John Sykes & wonders if the band Riot has a song called "Blue Murder". He says that'd be a good segway with Blue Murder's "Riot" & Riot's "Blue Murder", says again that was Blue Murder with Sykes which's Rich Ward's favorite guitarist & says Dan J.'s favorite guitarist is Ward. He says Dan sent him a request & played it, then asks to email him at messagesforchris@gmail.com & plugs www.myspace.com/therockofjericho & send a request there. He says he plays everything, says sometimes he gets in trouble for playing too much eclectic stuff but he's trying to keep it real & give what the people want. He says he's doing the old Kiss technique of giving fans what they want to hear, says he gets so excited about the show that he forgot to mention that "A Million To 1", asks if you liked that song & bets that you forgot on how good it was & says the song was requested by a fan named Scott. He says Scott wanted to hear some Vinnie Vincent Kiss, says Vinnie wrote that song with Paul & says Vinnie lost a Supreme Court appeal over royalties. He says if you take your act to the streets all the way up to the Supreme Court & still don't get royalties, he tells Vinnie to give it up & asks as to what Vinnie's real name. He says it's Vincent Cusano & says that's a rock & roll name there, says before that Gamma Ray's "Land Of The Free" was for a fan named Mitch & says Primal Fear's "Final Embrace" was for a fan named Pearl. He says that's "Primal Pearl" who's a frequent requester that gets lots of stuff played & says the reason's that she actually sends requests. He again plugs his email & says he don't care what kind of requests they are but send them to him, says sometimes he'll play them & says last week he played a Motograter song ["Down"], He again makes a buzzing noise, says he didn't like it & says you'll never again hear that style of tunes on his show again. He says he's sure his program director Kevin Kash: http://tinyurl.com/ybtu9x in the metal dungeon would be happy to hear that, says you have to try sometimes & says you guys wanna hear it & he's playing it for you. He says it's like Jason Michael Eldridge, says that's a great name & says "Jason Michael Eldridge is The Destroyer". He says he wants to hear some Hardline & says what a great call & says the Hardline record's called "Double Eclipse" that came out in '92. He says it had Neal Schon from Journey in another 1 of his fine side projects, says Neal's never been in a bad band, says Neal started in Santana, then Journey, Hardline, plays in Soul Sirkus & then spells of a band as "Ech-A-S", then spells it as "A-S-H-S-A-S" [NOTE FROM JEFF:I think he meant to says "HSAS"] which means "[Sammy] Hagar-[Neal] Schon-[Kenny] Aaronson-[Michael] Shrieve". He says Neal's been in a bunch of other things, then says what happened was Neal married a girl who's brothers may've been twins & says the names are Johnny & Joey Gioeli who were the singer & lead guitarists. He says they joined up with Neal, got bassist Todd Jensen & drummer Deen Castronovo & keyboard's Jonathan Cain & says 3/5 of Journey were in Hardline because Deen now plays with Journey. He says they did this real "power popi" metal type record that came out at the same time that Kurt Cobain torched the landscape & killed off every metal band like an exterminator of grunge. He says Hardline was lost in that shuffle but had a couple of good radio style hits, says he spent lots of time in LA that summer & remember hearing a couple of Hardline songs. He says they released a record years later called "Part 2" that only had the Gioeli brothers, says everything ties together & it's like a pulp fiction/Quentin Tarantino style thing. He says last week he played Axel Rudi Pell & says if you remembered & taped it to go back & listen to it, then asks as to why he's saying "on tape" as if he's 60 years old & says if you have it on the digital files to go back & listen to it. He says the lead singer of Axel Rudi Pell's Johnny Gioeli who's also the lead singer for Hardline, says Axel was a huge Hardline fan, tracked him down, signed him up & put him to work. He wants to put you to work & listen to Hardline from the record "Double Eclipse", it's "Takin' Me Down" right here on The Rock Of Jericho on XM 41 Da Boneyard & does "a famous countdown" by saying "Hardline in 3, a 2, a 1".

7. Plays Hardline's "Takin' Me Down" & Disturbed's "10,000 Fists".

8. Y2J says Disturbed's "10,000 Fists" was for a fan named [what sounded like] "Saunge", then wonders if they were disturbed in a fight with 36 crazy fists & said "listen man, we're so much better than you that we're 300 times better than you '36 crazy fists'". He says he was in Ireland when Disturbed was there on the same day they played that Fozzy played at the [yep, what sounded like] "The Anorbo Dome" & Fozzy was at [yep, what sounded like] "Sheky's Toilet & Grill". He says Disturbed had to cancell their show because midway thru their singer David Draiman blew out his voice pipes so bad, that they had to cancell that show & the rest of the tour & David went back to LA to get some throat therapy. He tells the aspiring singers out there to pace themselves & don't blow out your voices on the 3rd day of a sold out European tour & says it's not good for the bankbook. He says if you're going "WAKKAKAKAYA", says it ain't easy as you think & again says to pace yourselves & asks "Saunge" to write them a letter & tell them that. He says it's hard to be a lead singer because as is your performance is as the entire show is, wondered if that made any sense & says if you sing great the show's great but if you sing like s***, the show's like s***. He says if you don't sing you'll get replaced & kicked out of the band, just like Paul Di'Anno & says "segway alert". He says Paul was kicked out of Iron Maiden not because he couldn't sing & figured it may've been an attitude problem, drinking, "shmoking" weed & "other" various narcotics. He says lots of people still think that Paul's the definitive singer for Iron Maiden, says it's ludacrious & it's obvious that it's Blaze Bayley. He says he got ya, says it's Bruce [Dickinson] that's the voice of Iron Maiden & says Paul's fans have some merit. He says Paul's a great singer, says Iron Maiden's style was different then & wasn't the ethnic prog rock band like they are today & even in their glory years. He says Paul's a very solid singer & had a real good range, says people would say "well he's more of a punky style singer", says no & says Paul was more of a "gruf" punk edge but also had a high range. He says the reason why he wanted to play some Di'Anno music's that Paul's now 1 of his friends on MySpace: www.myspace.com/diannothebeast as well as Dickinson: www.myspace.com/brucedickinson , says he's such a MySpace nerd that even though he's friends with Paul & Bruce, Paul sent him a message by telling him that he did a great job. He says that Paul obviously loves the show, says he's not sure if Paul's ever heard the show or figured either he saw his site: www.chrisjericho.com or his MySpace site. He says maybe Paul does listen to the show & if he does, he gives a shoutout & props to Paul, says thanks & welcomes him to his show. He says Paul's been in a calvacade of bands over the years & mentions Praying Mantis, Battlezone, Killers, Beast & says Paul's new record's out called "The Living Dead". He says the thing about Paul's that he knows where his bread & butter is because every record he does a cover of 1 of his own Maiden songs, says even on the "Numbers Of The Beast" tribute record that he [Y2J] did where he did "The Evil That Men Do" with Paul Gilbert on guitar, says Paul was on there too doing "Wrathchild". He asks as to how can you be on a tribute to your own band, says he thought it'd be cool if Paul sang a Dickinson song such as "Paul sings 'Children Of The Damned'" & says that's a money maker, but for Paul to do "Wrathchild" on a Maiden tribute record & says he did "Wrathchild" on the original & asks as to where's the beef. He says the beef's right here in the pants of XM Radio & written on the top of Calvin Klein's is The Rock Of Jericho, says he has no idea as to where he's going there & says this is Di'Anno, Iron Maiden & "The ROJ" on a Sunday night.

9. Plays Iron Maiden's "Killers" & Kick Axe's "Alive & Kickin'".

10. Y2J says Kick Axe's "Alive & Kickin'" is for a fan named "Toho" in Edmunton & admits that's a little [yep, what sounded like] "nepitism" in play because Toho's his cousin, but also is a fan of his show & wanted to hear some Kick Axe. If you grew up in Canada in the 80's especially in the prairies, you'd know that Kick Axe grew up right out of Saskatchewan & went to national fame. He says it wasn't worldwide but they did open up for Priest, Triumph & put out 3 kickass rock & roll records, then says Kick Axe rock & roll records & gives a retarded like laugh. He says that ["Alive & Kickin'"] was a great version of it that was produced by Spencer Proffer who produced the "Critical Condition" record that you heard 2 slices from earlier, then says he now lives in the "Where Are They Now" file. He says Kick Axe released a record called "Kick Axe 4" with a different lead singer [Gary Langen] & says to him the basic appeal & the charm if you will of Kick Axe was lead singer George Criston. He says 1 of the appeals to Trivium, says it's a horrible segway & says it's 1 of his favorite new bands. He says you know he likes playing new stuff & don't want this to be a nostalgia show, says it got us into Mastodon over the last couple of weeks & says he's heard lots about Trivium. He says Annilhilator's Jeff Waters told him about Trivium, then says Trivium 3 times & says he got a request for Trivium, but can't remember who sent it to him. He says to the fan that requested Trivium it's for that fan, says their new record's called "Crusade" with great musicians. He says it's similar to In Flames, Arch Enemy or other new bands, but he heard that even though he hasn't heard any other Trivium records that they have a real gruf, cookie monster type vocals & now has changed to a Metallica/[James] Hetfield type vocal. He says to be honest he put on the CD the other night while writing his book ["A Lion's Tale"], says that's a shameless plug that Simmons would be proud of & says he couldn't believe as to how kickass it was. He says it kicked his ass, the vocals were great & says even though they're Hetfield-esk & Hetfield influenced & says that's OK. He says to him he still likes that singing style, says it's much better than the cookie monster style, says there's some great instrumental parts, says there's an 8 minute instrumental period that he'll 1 day play if anyone's interested & says he's not really selling it too much. He says he don't know what a Trivium is, says he'll have to grab his old dictionary & look it up. He says until then check it out as they make their debut on his show it's Trivium's "Anthem [We Are The Fire]".

11. Plays Trivium's "Anthem [We Are The Fire]", The Cult's "The Saint" & Savatage's "Turns To Me".

12. Y2J says he's become the modern day Iron Maiden, says when you listen to his show you learn something, then says he's getting ahead of himself & says Savatage's "Turns To Me" is from the "The Wake Of Magellan" record. He says we haven't heard anything from Savatage in years since the "Poets & Madmen" record that didn't have Zachary Stevens on vocals that you just heard, says Zachary now sings with Circle II Circle & says to him he was kickass in Savatage. He says Savatage's almost like the Meatloaf of a new generation, says next week he'll play some new Meatloaf because he's heard there's some great stuff on it. He says they're very operatic & you can see that song's being part of a Broadway show. He says Savatage's the inspiration & members of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, which is the Christmas show that tours around & says they even played on Oprah [Winfrey]. He says sandwiched in between was The Cult's "The Saint", says there's no reason for the song other than he likes it, says it's underated & from the "Beyond Good & Evil" record. He asks if you liked it & bets that The Cult won't play it live, says they did a reunion tour called "Bust Out The Saint" & says he'll give you an extra $10 & a bag of fries. He says the reason why he calls himself the modern day Iron Maiden's that you can still listen to Maiden & you'd learn some history lessons & mentions "Alexander The Great", "Rime Of The Ancient Mariner" & "The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg". He says they'd sing about things that you'd didn't know, which would force you to research it on Google nowadays, says back then encyclopedias, books, libraries, etc. & says you'd find out about things that you'd never knew. He says he got his dictionary, looked up trivium & says it's a mid evil university course of grammar, rhetoric & logic: http://snipurl.com/128uu . He says that's probably where the word trivium came from & asked as to how they found that name, says maybe they were looking at a book of mid evil terms & says that's obscure type stuff. He says low & behold that's the name of the band, says you've learned something this week by listening to his show. He says you'll learn something else by saying on how crazy Eddie Van Halen is, says he talks about Van Halen alot on how his mental stage's gone downhill & says it compound this week when Eddie announced that his 15 year old son Wolfgang Van Halen's the new bassist of Van Halen & says Michael Anthony's out. He says Michael Anthony's more than just a bassist & not only is he the anchor to the whole Van Halen sound & allows Eddie to noodle, play, do his thing & hold the whole fort down, but also he's the great background vocalist of all time. He says Michael's background vocals are so distinct that it's a big part of the Van Halen sound, says you're taking away his bass playing & singing & says he don't know what's going on. He asks if there's even a Van Halen anyway, asks as to who's on vocals & asks if it's Eddie's dad "Big Bad Bill & Sweet William Now" Van Halen on vocals. He says it's rumored to be David Lee Roth, says it's sad to see 1 of the greatest bands of all time slowly being picked apart & thrown into the ashes. He says if they do reunite they'll have to play a classic lineup if Roth sings, because Roth won't do the Sammy [Hagar] songs & says Roth probably can't sing the Sammy songs, so maybe they'll bust out some real gems. He thinks they'll bust out this 1 ["Romeo Delight"] from the "Women & Children 1st" album.

13. Plays Van Halen's "Romeo Delight" & Grave Digger's "Starlight".

14. Y2J says Grave Digger's "Starlight" is for a fan named "Ahof" in Toronto, says lots of Canadian are listening to the show today & wonders if "Ahof" is a 1st or last name & if "Ahof"'s a girl or guy. He wonders if "Ahof" is a girl she could be Dutch like Van Halen is, then says "he" could be Dutch, then says he's assuming "Ahof"'s a she & says he don't even know. He again says it's XM 41 Da Boneyard on a Sunday & again says welcome to his show, says if you just joined up & have no idea as to who he is, he's Chris Jericho & says shame on you for not knowing. He says on his show you'll know what his name is, then does a Kip James: http://snipurl.com/12937 impression & says "I'm Chris Jericho, bitch", says that's the most bastardize catchphrase that was started by Dave Chappelle saying "I'm Rick Jeremy James, bitch" & says everyone had to say that. He then says "I'm Eugene LaRue, bitch", says it sounded like a country accent like David Allan Coe & says that's another horrible segway. He says David Allan Coe's the lead singer of Rebel Meets Rebel which's the last record, then rephrases what he said by saying it's a record that Dimebag Darrell record with Vinnie [Paul] & Rex [Brown] that was in the can. He says it was languishing in the vaults for a couple of years, says Vinnie wanted to release it but never found the right forum or time to do it after Dimebag's death. He says Vinnie found the tapes, decided to release the record & says it sold about 100,000 records in the States alone. He says it had a great combination of southern rock & total kickass metal, which again reinforces as to how great of a player Dimebag is or was as well as to what kind of chemistry Pantera had. He says he still don't know why Rex didn't leave & go with Damage Plan, says we'll probably never know & right now it don't matter. He says it was cool that Vinnie put out the Rebel Meets Rebel record, says he also put out the "Dimevision" DVD, is doing drum clinics & is back on the road with the "Road To Recovery" tour, because Vinnie lost everything. He says not only did Vinnie lose his career, not once when Pantera broke up but twice when he lost his partner, as well as his best friend & brother. He says God bless Dimebag & Vinnie for pulling up his pants, getting back on the road & doing what he does best which's being 1 of the greatest rock & roll drummers of all time, that shows on his playing on Rebel Meets Rebel. He says Rebel Meets Rebel's "Nothing To Lose", that's from Chris Jericho, The Rock Of Jericho & XM 41 Da Boneyard.

15. Plays Rebel Meets Rebel's "Nothing To Lose", Dokken's "Kiss Of Death" & Manowar's "All Men Play on 10".

16. Y2J says the line "I'm never gonna turn it down again", says Manowar's "All Men Play on 10" was for a fan named Jenny Leese from the Netherlands. He says this is the worldwide Rock Of Jericho, says he's very excited with everyone worldwide & again plugs his email. He says he don't care if you're from Lithuania, Nairobi or Tazmania but to email him requests, tell him where you're from, he'll say your name on the radio, he'll play some songs & have some fun, drink a few beers & says everything's Archie. He again says Jenny Leese requested Manowar's "All Men Play on 10" & says that's a great song title that's from the "Sign Of The Hammer" record. He says Manowar's putting out another record soon ["Gods Of War"], says they have a new single out now ["The Sons Of Odin"] & says he may have to play that. He says he's got lots of stuff that he wants to play & mentions Meatloaf, Paul Stanley, some requests for other bands that he couldn't fit in this week, says things are going good on his show & says to tell your friends about it. He says he also played Dokken's "Kiss Of Death", says he gets into phases when he discovers a record that he hasn't played or listened to in a while, then just do 3 or 4 weeks in a row playing songs from that band or record. He says this [Dokken's "Kiss Of Death"] is from the "Back For The Attack" record, says he played "Mr. Scary" on last week's Halloween Special & asked if anyone liked the Halloween Special. He says he thought it was kickass & fun, says it was fun playing songs that had a certain vibe to it & says "Mr. Scary" had a great vibe. He says that could be Dokken's best record, then says "Tooth Or Nail" is pretty good also, says the riff from "Kiss Of Death" is the best Dokken riff that's hands down, no questions asked or humdiggery, no Tom Foolery & says no doubt about it. He says he's reached the end of another show & asked if you can believe that 2 hours went by like that & says it's the best show on XM Radio. He says it kills Bob Dylan's show: www.xmradio.com/bobdylan , Tom Petty's show: www.xmradio.com/tompetty & Snoop Dogg's show: http://snipurl.com/12c8r , then asks [in regards to Snoop's show] "what the f*** is that"? He says he'll take on Snoop now, outside & take him downtown to Chinatown & says that's a classic Jericho phrase. He says in the same vain as to what he said he played last week "Hammerhead" from Flotsam & Jetsam's "Doomsday For The Deceiver" record. He then says 2 weeks ago was the Halloween Special, says he's in his own little world & constantly churning out these classic, quality shows & says he's a radio DJ convator belt. He again says he played last week "Hammerhead" for a fan named "Shol", then says "Fo-Shol" & says he liked it so much that he wanted to finish of the show with another Flotsam & Jetsam track from "Doomsday For The Deceiver", that has bassist Jason Newsted. He says he loves this record because it's obvious that Newsted was leading the charge, says he was the Capt. of the ship & says the bass' got a great tone. He says it's very heavy & much in your face & says it's probably the reason why Metallica took a look at them & eventually hired them. He says when they joined the band they turned Jason's bass down & was non-existent & says that's another story that he talks about every week & says we don't wanna hear it again. He says the record had 2 songs that were about the rise & fall of the Satanic creature, that was destroyed by The Power Of Good & The Power Of Heavy Metal. He says it ended up killing Satan & sending him back to the pit, says the couple of songs were both 9 minutes each & says it fits perfectly into his closure song.
