Spotlight Match: Draeger vs Kylon King

The crowd immediately predicts the death of the young Draeger. He doesn’t like that taunt and comes right at the King. The IWTV Tag champ isn’t putting up with that and starts running over the upstart. Draeger finally lands a back elbow that sends Kylon end over end. Draeger lays the beating in, big side slam for two. He puts on a La abdominal stretch and uses the ropes for unfair leverage. Ref Bill catches on. Draeger runs into a knee that starches him. Kylon with a sick pull up into a northern lights for the win! That was a really good finish.

Winner: Kylon King

Match 1: Richard Holliday vs Dustin Waller

Oh we are STARTING with this??? I’m so glad we boo Holliday again. Holliday just trying to lord over Dustin, calling him kid, pulling his hair, trying to give mean spirited “instruction”. Dustin getting under his skin tho. Big dive to the floor. Kneesault! Holliday just not letting up and making everything HURT. Running legdrop for two. Dustin with the handspring but Holliday blasts a mm elbow to the back. “I know everything you do!” Flash hitting some superkicks…tornado armbreaker! Flash elbow drop into Holliday for two! Flash trying to get running but Richard keeps grabbing his foot. He demands respect. Flash with a hard slap and they go for it. Flash wants that handspring but Holliday is cutting it off. Flash splash misses, Holliday hits the 2008 for the clean win. Flash keeps stacking these L’s. Holliday says that actions speak louder than words. I think he’s said enough to Flash tonight. 

Winner: Richard Holliday

Match 2: Gabby Forza vs Little Mean Kathleen

LMK is still in her Bakabella Wedding Dress. Welcome back! She hikes up the skirt to show how serious she’s taking this. Gnomie uses LMK like a barbell. Kathleen with a little trip to the floor and tries to run out the fire door. Kathleen with an eye rake on a roll up. She’s starting to work Gnomie’s arm over. It’s working. Gabby can’t pick her up…LMK with an armbar but she gets bombed out of it! LMK with a tornado ddt. She takes it back up to the top. She’s gonna kill Gnomie? Gabby gets up there and hits a Super AA for the win!

Winner: Gabby Forza

Match 3: The Batiri (Kodama and Obariyon) vs Shook Crew (Bobby Orlando & Max Caster)

Everyone loves our Mom and no one wants Max here. This is following a similar energy to the opener where Max is using his history with Orlando to “coach” him through the match. Max steals Bobby’s slam and tries to take the match over. Bobby is knocked off the apron and only then does Max beg for the tag out. Caster taking a beating, Bobby makes the save finally and drags Max to the tag. Bobby with an AA can’t finish it. Caster throws Bobby his belt. To use? Bobby dragged outside, Caster with a rollup and reaches back and forces Orlando to give him leverage for the pin.

Winners: Shook Crew

Caster gets Bobby back in the ring. He says Orlando did a great job listening to him and that’s why they won. Unlike that time Bob lost the titles. Caster is such an a**hole. 

The Sweeper is here and Bryce Donovan just walks in the fire door With his bag and preps for the match on the corner with no warmup or entrance music. This…is…

Match 4: The Sweeper vs Bryce Donovan

Ring the bell. Big boot. Sidewalk slam. Chokeslam. 18-second win. Bryce unlaces his boots, puts his sneakers on, grabs his keys and leaves by the fire door. What.

Winner: Bryce Donovan

Everyone in the room watches the feed of Bryce walking to his car, navigating the parking lot of the White Eagle and driving off into the night. This was a cool segment.

It’s time for the mysteries to be revealed! Who is the Stetson ranch picking for the Church’s mystery opponent. Oh s***. Stetson picked former church members, the Even Stevens! Welcome back! They have A LOT OF UNFINISHED BUSINESS with Tyree and BG….but they say they’ve learned to forgive. Forget the ranch, let the best team win. This could turn on a dime. 

Match 5: Church of Greatness (Ichiban & Tyree Taylor w/ Brother Greatness) vs Even Stevens (Steve Somerset & Steve Azure)

Ichiban starts this with Azure and eats a pile of number one stuff. Somerset in with Tyree and Ichiban gets used as a projectile weapon. The vest in the world turn the tide and start working Ichi over. Tyree in like a runaway train. Running those steve’s over. Huge discus lariat drops Somerset. Azure has Tyree’s chain and can’t resist hitting the ring and blasting Tyree in the head. The linebacker of praise drops like a bag of sand. Somerset drops Ichi with the chain. Brother Greatness comes to face them and continues to apologize. The prodigal sons provide backup. “I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU” yells Azure. 

Winners: Church of Greatness (by DQ)

The prodigal sons also have a match now! Ag it’s a singles.

Match 6: Sammy Diaz (w/ Lucas Chase) vs Ricky Smokes (w/ Brad Baylor)

Sammy and Ricky are just going for it. Sammy unloading on Ricky until he feigns an injury. Baylor with the blindside. Ricky hits a gory bomb to the buckle. Ricky loses focus and gets Chase in a crucifix. Smokes with a powerbomb and PK. Crowd is POPPING for this. Rude awakening variation for two. Sammy headbutts him off the top. Blockbuster! Sammy landing lariats! Butterfly slam! Snap Powerslam and a moonsault for two! Frog splash! Kick out! Baylor grabs the leg again but Chase swarms him. Ricky with a head kick from behind! Back drop cutter! Sammy with a package powerbomb for the win! This f***ing ruled. 

Winner: Sammy Diaz

We have another mystery match incoming. Who will CPA bring to the fight against the handsome team. 

CPA’s music hits. Percy Ryan and JGeorge drag his near lifeless body through the curtain and dump him on the floor. CPA is rolled into the ring and this is a just a beatdown. His partner better make the save…Percy says CPA was never good enough for him. But his partner is the true handsomest man at Open. It’s the returning 50 Cal!!! Team Handsome escapes through the curtain so I guess there’s no match. 50 & CPA rip off shirts in stereo. This is what the people want.

Match 7: Ray Jaz vs Dezmond Cole

This is not what the people want. Brad Baylor is through the curtain. He says he called Ray Jaz and asked to step in against Cole to resolve their unfinished business. Is this an unintentional face turn? No, Baylor still sucks.

Match 7: Brad Baylor vs Dezmond Cole

It’s like someone said to this match “ok, see how wild that last match was? Go top it”. And they are. Baylor is absolutely all over Boofa but Cole is firing back. Go back and watch this and the previous match. This was show stealer energy as Boofa headbutts Baylor off the top and puts him away with a swanton. Hot damn. This almost went the full ten minutes. Crowd is fire tonight.

Winner: Dezmond Cole

Our final mystery match of the night! Who joins Doug and Clancy against Big Business? Oh my lorb, it’s ALEC PRICE!!!!!!

Main Event: Big Business (Brad Hollister, Victor Chase & Julio Cruz w/ TJ Crawford) vs Fancy Ryan Clancy, Love Doug & Alec Price)

Brad’s gonna start with Clancy? Tag right out to Julio. Brick City getting run over early. They hit the floor to regroup but eat a triple dive! This staggers everyone and Cruz actually manages to use that to their advantage to start laying a beatdown into Doug. The ref is distracted and Doug is just getting pummeled on the outside. Price in hot but the 3 on 1 is strong. Bacon forced to lariat the brick Boyz. Big dropkick to Bacon! Tag to Clancy! He’s tossing bricks around like he’s a crowd in Worcester! Everyone’s down! Clancy dropping fists into Chase! Julio grabs Price’s leg. Richard Holliday rams Clancy into the post! Price is trying to hold his own as Doug recovers. Bricks hit a jumping side Russian bomb for two! Doug in, he goes right for Brad but this is becoming a murder. Doug fighting the bricks off…double slice of love! TJ on the apron to distract Doug. Bacon from behind and Germans Doug. Bacon is upset at TJ? Is TJ not pulling his weight? He certainly didn’t attack anyone on the outside. He does have a hate on for Doug right now. They are arguing at the apron as Doug runs in with the rollup and gets the win!!!! 

Winners: Doug, Clancy & Price

Everyone in Big Business are in TJ’s face. “What are you DOING?” Is this a rift forming? A hostile takeover? Who knows! 

This was a good night. We definitely had a hit crowd but the flow felt a little differ than usual. In a GOOD way. Maybe it was because we had dome segments that flowed together nicely, instead of the usual video/match format. Maybe it was the truly odd segments interspersed. Or the hot open. Or the absolutely nuts final three matches? It was good. It was very good tonight.
