By Paul Jordan on 2024-04-19 08:42:00

Paramount announced that the animated "Aang The Last Airbender" film which will feature Dave Bautista in the voice cast has been moved from October 10, 2025 to January 20, 2026. Not much is known about the spinoff to the popular Nickelodeon "Avatar: The Last Airbender" franchise except Bautista will voice a villain in the film.

Lauren Montgomery, who worked on the original “Avatar: The Last Airbender” television show, is directing the project with William Mata. Series creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are serving as executive producers alongside Eric Coleman.

Bautista would not be the first pro wrestling personality to ever interact with the franchise,

In the original animated series, Mick Foley voiced an earth-bending wisecracking character named "The Boulder" where he took some inspiration from his old friend and tag partner The Rock.

The WWE Hall of Famer also voiced the character in "Avatar The Last Airbender The Burning Earth" on the Nintendo Wii console.
